Slowly going Green

For a long time I've had the desire to start going green. It seems that with my busy life, I just never had the opportunity to do the very little legwork to get myself started.

I've slowly collected my canvas grocery bags and am no longer using plastic at the grocery store (now if I could only remember to take them into Walmart with me too!). I've also started frequenting my brand-spankin-new natural food grocery store in town and buying natural and organic foods for the family and for making Natalie's baby foods.

It's small steps right now, but they are steps. Once I get comfortable with these changes, I'll jump forward and make some more.

You and Lauren (Dr P too) are just amazing with your organic eating. Especially when it comes to the kids. I really need to get on track with that.

Oh... I don't do a lot of it. It's really expensive. I make sure Nati's baby food I make her is Organic. I've got organic shampoo for me and I've gotten some potato chips and a few other goodies from there. It's a fun store!

I'm not totally organic, but I do enjoy the produce! It's much cheaper to go with the OG buying group than to buy through the grocery store. You should check with the gal who organizes it to see if there is anybody who needs a sub when they go on vacation. That way you can try it without committing.

Oh, and I tend to forget my bags when I go into Walmart or to the mall, also.
